BP Gelsenkirchen works with NUMBERCHECK

BP Gelsenkirchen is an operator of the complex Ruhr Oel GmbH refinery with integrated petrochemistry in the northern Ruhr area. 0.44 million tonnes of the produced raw materials are delivered by rail traffic.

Security and control has the uppermost priority with such danger good transports. Hence, Gelsenkirchen BP has decided on the numbers and damage recognition system NUMBERCHECK of ASE AG.
The tank waggons or the complete trains are scanned with arrival and leaving the area in each case.

Possible existing damages, open tank lids or other failures are detected, pictures are allocated to the UIC numbers and are stored. The data are integrated into a higher management system and can be called any time after date and train number.

This state recognition and the suitable documentation leads therefore to a considerable improvement of the security and at last also to a cost reduction.
