Review - Innotrans 2012

Many visitors, constructive discussions, fruitful business transactions and exciting fair days: The International Trade Fair for Transport Technology was a full success and by now we are looking forward to the next Innotrans in 2014.

The biggest attention was focused on our automatic number recognition system NUMBERCheck.

This intelligent optical detection system is based on sensoric hardware components and our software system “NumberFinder”, which recognises and stores the detected numbers / data (UIC, LOB, LPL, container code, etc.). The open-system architecture allow easy data exchange and seamless integration into higher level systems.
The newest highlight is our construction "sensor column". This was developed for the Belgium railway company Infrabel. Here, a one-sided number recognition of all train types was wished in six parallel rails in the tunnel. The local conditions required a vandalism-protected variation, so that now the complete sensoric hardware components are installed in columns.

Big interest to our video surveillance, measuring and detection systems also showed Baden-Wurttemberg´s Minister of Traffic and Transport, Mr. Winfried Hermann.

Mr. Hermann was especially highly interested in the research project "Noise Measurement" - Development of a train supervision and control system with acoustic and visual capture of the airborne noise under operating conditions.
