Wagon tracking: The perfect supplement to NUMBERCheck

With the intelligent optical number recognition system NUMBERCheck, all relevant train data and pictures are captured, stored and made electronically accessible.

To guarantee an exact tracking of trains and wagons movements on all rails only the following components are required:

1. Optical sensors at train entry and exit for optical number extraction.
2. Additional wheel sensors at further junctions within the area.
Every NUMBERCheck system contains one wheel sensor, which is used to determine the wheel signature of the wagons. Furthermore, traffic direction, speed, number and distance of axis are determined, as well as number of the wagons.

Further wheele sensors in the field, e.g. positioned at every junction can be used to reliably track the known wheel signature of the wagons. Based on these information, it is always known where each wagon with a specific UIC number is parked.

The advantages of this system are:

• Shunting proof and optimisation
• Effective disposition of the available wagons
• Saving of labour and costs
• Integration of the data in other logistic systems
