Siemens AG Austria awarded ASE AG the contract to supply the video surveillance equipment for the integration of the tunnel control room into the integrated regional control centre (ILL) for Tyrol, an example of process control engineering.
Cameras are used to monitor the tunnel and the recorded footage is displayed in the tunnel and stored in local recording and analysis facilities. The integrated functionality of the ILL also requires video data from the tunnel to be displayed at workstations in the ILL. This data includes both live traffic footage and access to stored information from local surveillance equipment in the tunnel’s operational control centres.
